This beautifully upcycled vintage BP Motor Spirit can (British Petroleum Co Ltd) from the 1930s has been transformed by hand into a stylish industrial lamp with a large designer vintage bulb.
 
After stripping decades of dirt and grime, the petrol can was polished to retain its gorgeous patina. On top of the can, an antique-style light fitting holds an oversized vintage bulb with a spiral filament that emits a warm and inviting glow, making the unconventional bulb shape look stunning both on and off.
 
The base of the lamp is fixed with antique brass feet, and a second light has been fitted inside the can to produce a subtle blue glow from beneath.
 
The lamp features vintage Edison style LED bulbs, which use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and have a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.
 
The lamp is equipped with a vintage-style braided flex cable, an inline switch, and a 3amp British plug, all made from genuine British parts and hand-wired to a high professional standard.
 
With an overall height of approximately 54cm, width of 25cm, and depth of 15cm, this lamp is perfect as a vintage talking piece in any living space, bar, or restaurant.
 
As an original vintage item, the lamp may display natural wear and tear, adding to its character.
