This stunning vintage mid-century Stag Minstrel tallboy can be beautifully upcycled in Farrow & Ball Studio Green paint, adding a touch of grandeur to any room in your home.
 
The solid tallboy will be carefully stripped of the worn mahogany veneer and painted with two coats of Farrow & Ball Undercoat, followed by two coats of Farrow & Ball Studio Green topcoat in modern eggshell. The dovetail joints of the drawers will also be painted to highlight their quality craftsmanship.
 
To ensure long-lasting durability, the exterior of the tallboy will be coated with multiple layers of Polyvine varnish, while the interior will be nourished and conditioned with lemon oil to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
 
For a soft industrial vibe, the original tattered hardware can be replaced with vintage cast iron knobs for the main drawers, and vintage cast iron 'The Old Printing Shop Portobello Rd London' pull handles for the smaller drawers.

Stag Minstrel
The Stag Minstrel furniture was made from makore (or African Cherry), both solid and veneered. The range of furniture was introduced in 1964 as a result of a collaboration between Stag and design consultants John and Sylvia Reid and it was possibly the best-selling bedroom furniture range ever.
 
Inspired by the simple elegance of 18th century furniture, the range is more popular than ever for people looking for sustainability as an integral part of their interior design.
