This gorgeous vintage mid century Stag Minstrel 4 drawer chest has been beautifully upcycled in in this stunning Studio Green No.93 paint from Farrow & Ball, and will add a touch of grandeur to any room in your home.
 
The old cabinet with it's solid dovetail joint drawers has been stripped of it's worn mahogany veneer and painted with 2x coats of Farrow & Ball Undercoat, followed by 2x coats of Studio Green Farrow & Ball topcoat in estate eggshell. For added detail we will also take the time to paint the dovetail joints of the drawers to really make the quality stand out.
 
The exterior of the cabinet has been coated in several layers of Polyvine varnish for added durability, and the interior nourished and conditioned with lemon oil to really bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
 
The worn handles have been replaced with these goegeous vintage cast iron style handles with 'The Old Printing Shop Poertabello Road London'.
 
Stag Minstrel
The Stag Minstrel furniture was made from makore (or African Cherry), both solid and veneered. The range of furniture was introduced in 1964 as a result of a collaboration between Stag and design consultants John and Sylvia Reid and it was possibly the best-selling bedroom furniture range ever.
 
Inspired by the simple elegance of 18th century furniture, the range is more popular than ever for people looking for sustainability as an integral part of their interior design.
